During WWII Albanians offered shelter to thousands of Jews in the Albanian territory. Jews were dressed like Muslim Albanians (they even adopted Muslim names) to escape Nazi’s control but they were free to profess their own religion. I translated this visualizing a kippah (typical jewish hat) hidden in a qelesh (typical albanian hat).
